Usually the datasheets of Microchip mention the number as well as the pin function in the pin diagrams. I always liked that, it's easy to look up something when experimenting or making a schematic. For some reason with the 18F25K22 they only used the pin numbers. Also Google couldn't help me with a picture of the pin numbers and function. So I dove in the datasheet and drew my own pin diagram:
